Tyche's Fiddle

Postby JHostler » January 24th, 2024, 7:10 am

As some grow older, they veer toward conservatism. Others just have more fun with reckless abandon… hence last night’s disjointed launch of http://www.gnominal.com.

While the site is shamelessly goofy, Tyche’s Fiddle – the Gnominal Gnomes’ new utility device for equally reckless, goofy magicians and mentalists - is 100% “for real.” Unless you catch one of the slightly outdated beta samples bouncing around L.A. metro, Kent (UK), or St. Louis, MO, this is your source.

Short Description: A multi-featured novel that does “lots of stuff.” The perfect incidental prop for improvisation. A hat rack for personal creativity and ingenuity. A prop that isn’t… until it needs to be. (The site goes into a bit more detail.)

Even more reckless than connecting this device with the general population: No demo videos (my creaky voice has shattered glass and peeled paint). And the prop and instructions are – gulp – sold separately, so the risk-averse can test waters with one or the other.

Instructions $20… prop $35. Direct your intrigue to https://www.gnominal.com/tyches-fiddle [Technically, these are being sold by a third party printer – so I await any posting corrections from the Genii moderators.]

Cheers,

John Hostler

I'm for fun, John, that's a great looking site - good luck with it.

Might want to give Andrew a whimsy alert though...

Sorry, Andrew. The gnomes must persist. If it's any consolation, Tyche is far more serious than (if nearly as whimsical as) the website.

A little video tip for Tyche's Fiddlers. Password = the last name of the magician who conjured up the five-card mental force (all lower-case). Cheers!
