Stalker, a new illusion show by Swedish magician duo Peter Brynolf and Jonas Ljung, will premiere off Broadway this spring, presented by renowned magicians Penn & Teller. Performances begin March 18 ahead of an April 1 opening at New World Stages.

Known collectively as Brynolf & Ljung, the duo tackles the theme of surveillance in Stalker while performing illusions that include street magic and mentalism — plus a cinematic, unexpected plot twist.

Brynolf & Ljung first came to prominence in 2009 when they won the silver medal in Comedy Magic at the prestigious World Championships of Magic. They later impressed Penn & Teller on the first season of the TV series Penn & Teller: Fool Us! and then performed on their own show, Street Magic.

The Swedish magicians first performed Stalker in their home country in 2021 and now make their New York stage debuts.

“Brynolf & Ljung had us at ‘hallå’ with their mind-bending magic on our TV show,” Penn & Teller said in a statement. “Now, we’re joining forces with them to unleash Stalker in New York City. We’re truly excited to join the producing team of this spellbinding spectacle.”

Stalker is directed by Edward Af Sillén, known for his work as a director, writer, and commentator for Eurovision. The creative team also includes lighting designer Jamie Roderick and sound designer Drew Levy.
